NORMAN — Just over two weeks after picking up an Oklahoma football offer, three-star Jakoby Dixon announced his commitment to the Sooners.
Dixon, a 5-foot-10, 200-pound recruit from Brenham High School in Texas, is the No. 44-ranked running back in the 2027 class by Rivals. After an official trip to OU this weekend, Dixon was all-in. He had unofficially visited Oregon earlier this month.
“This decision is made,” Dixon wrote on social media. “See you soon, Boomer nation.”

Dixon is the second running back pledge in the Sooners’ 2027 class, joining four-star Keldrid Ben. He’s the 22nd addition to Rivals’ No. 3-ranked class.
The commitment marks new OU running backs coach Deland McCullough’s first as a member of the Sooners’ staff. McCullough visited Dixon during his high school’s spring game.
Dixon held offers from Florida, Michigan, Miami, Ohio State and others.
