Back in October, when federal investigators unsealed an indictment of alleged illegal sports betting — which led to the arrest of Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier — it was directly tied to a previous arrest of former Raptor Jontay Porter for using the same prop bet scam. In those indictments, a total of seven games were allegedly impacted.

An arbitrator on Monday ruled in favor of Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier in a salary dispute with the NBA that arose after he was federally indicted in a gambling investigation, sources told ESPN.

WTF? He can gamble on games and fail to honor his deal in a competitive manner while still getting paid. That's a loophole that needs closed as it directly effects the games.

hey i gotta great idea let's put an expansion team in vegas

Since I essentially stream the games from *cough* sources, I often get to watch the opposing teams' broadcast. I find it a bit hinky that a good number of the other teams' broadcasts are on the "Fanduel Network."

How in TF is a sports-betting company allowed to have a sports broadcasting network?

EDIT: I looked it up, and Fanduel Network used to be Bally Sports, which is then also a fluffing casino. And yes, I recognize that they also used to broadcast Suns games.

The Miami Heat are waiving guard Terry Rozier today, sources tell ESPN. Rozier had been placed on leave by the NBA since October after federal indictments into sports gambling activity. Miami will open up a roster spot.

Can they sue over that if they've gone through arbitration? I didn't think so.

If it's binding arbitration, maybe not, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't find a reason to try and break it.

A lot of money is involved, so there is a lot of motivation to find a way.
