I heard on the radio that the NFL has no agency over practices, that it's all on teams. I don't know how accurate it is. One of the NFL reporters supposedly said it and then was repeated on local sports radio. I hope he does get suspended, because he's a douche canoe and unsafe.

I don’t know call me crazy but that sounds silly then how does the NFL have purview if they do something outside of the facility at all on their off time? You would certainly think they have an ability to handle any punishment for something that happens in an official NFL practice between two opposing teams.

I would have to think it’s different when it involves another team. Late for practice, no show for practice, arguing with the position coach etc all makes perfect sense to let the team manage their own, but this is different. Other than the Myles Garrett incident being on national TV, there’s no difference in what occurred.

And if the NFL does not, could it be viewed as a crime if outside the NFL jurisdiction? Or does it become a private sector thingy where if no files are charged it goes unpunished. What might be the legal perspective from your experience as a law officer Shane?

They said that's different and part of the conduct policy, but practices specifically aren't under NFL purview, but the team. No idea if that's correct.
