big contracts have a way of coming with big expectations -- its one thing to be the guy nobody expected anything from. Its another to have giant expectations. Fortunately for him, he has a really good offensive coach.

Annoyed he didn’t get closer to 60 a year, his agent could have fought harder. I really wanted the 9ers to be strapped by this contract. He’s been solid but still can’t help but feel he’s been elevated by a supreme roster, which may not exist anymore.

For the record I do not think purdy is a bad QB- he's just isnt a top 10 guy.

Regardless of his performance though this contract is monumental for the cardinals even if he plays "well". Brings them back down to earth and short of drafting incredibly well they will never have that ridiculous roster they had for those several years 2022-2023 which was arguably one of the best this decade.
