Kawhi Leonard has just been ruled OUT for today’s season finale against the Warriors.Seems like it will be Clippers-Warriors in the 9-seed vs. 10-seed game in the West.

If the Suns advance in the play-in, they would play next Sunday.

Kind of odd how the Suns were the first team to hand the Spurs a loss this season and the Blazers did the same for OKC. Weird how it's shaken out now with the matchups for the playoffs shaking our similarly.

Tell me again why the 9 and 10th seeds are still playing after Sunday?

7 plays 8 with the winner locking into the 7th seed. 9 plays 10 and the winner faces the loser of the 7 vs 8 matchup. It gives the 8th seed an advantage but doesn't rule out 9 or 10. Think back to the times the Suns finished 9 or 10, like Hornacek's first year as coach. It beats a tiebreaker and allows the final team to earn the spot on the court. This was a result of the shortened bubble season where some teams played more than others. They chose to keep it rather than change it.

It supposedly builds more excitement for the fans of bubble teams, those teams just outside the playoffs, with the opportunity to make it.

Perhaps it not unlike wild card NFL teams finding a way to make the playoffs and advance.

The play-in tournament was added starting in 2020. It's supposed to incentivize lower seeded teams not to tank.

WRONG, the correct answer is $$$$$$$$$$$$ LOL

It was rhetorical. Cause the 7th and 8th seeds are the 7th and 8 seeds. But we want to play additional/uneccesssary games involving the 9th an 10th seeds. What a novelty.

Yes, few things remain untouched by money.
