I posted this in the Magic game thread but I think it belongs here as well because it pertains to the Suns positioning in regard to the Play-in.

See below:

"What helped is the Trail Blazers won at the Clippers on Tuesday.

They are still three games behind the Suns in the loss column.

The Suns are currently in 7th place in the West and the Clippers 8th.

If I understand it correctly, they would meet in the play-in either way but if Phoenix finishes 7th, they host the one game series and vice versa.

The winner would advance directly to the playoffs and the loser would play the winner of 9 versus 10"

Wolves clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Suns loss.

Suns clinch 7th with a win and a Clippers loss.

Pretty good chance Suns are locked into 7th by Tuesday and can rest the rest of the way.

Lakers play Suns on April 10.

Suns just need a win or a Clippers and Blazers loss. Their Magic Number is 1 right now over both teams.

I believe that theoretically, the Suns could fall into eighth, but realistically locked down the seventh position with the Bulls victory. Look at the schedules. Yeah, the Suns face superior opponents on a back-to-back, but the Clinkers and Blazer also have difficult games. All three teams will probably lose at least one more game.

Oh, and Dillon Brooks is still an idiot. Getting suspended, and also arrested, taught him nothing, His leadership of the Suns comes at a great price: suspensions and awful shot selection.
Clippers and Blazers play one game against each other still.

Does that mean the Suns can win any of their remaining games to clinch; or does the above scenario mean winning specifically the next game?

I don't find the Rockets overwhelming. They only edged the Suns last time.
Suns just need to win anyone of their remaining games.

Or have Clippers and Blazers each lose any one of their remaining games.

I say leave the 7th seed alone.

Let the 8/9 have a best of 3 play-in for the 8th spot. That will prepare them even more for facing the #1 seed.

Pretty big night. If the Suns beat this team and the Clippers lose to the Thunder, Phoenix is the 7th seed. LAC is also sitting Darius Garland tonight on the second game of a back-to-back.

If it's not clinched tonight, LAC has POR and GSW left. PHX has LAL and OKC left.

The Warriors are now locked into the 10th seed. They’ll need to win two road games next week to get into the playoffs and a 1 v 8 matchup with the Thunder.
