Cities With Teams In Five Professional Leagues​

Nine of the twelve cities with teams in each of the Big Four professional sports leagues also have a team in a fifth professional sports league: Major League Soccer (MLS). Cities that also have a fifth team in the MLS are Boston (New England Revolution), Chicago (Chicago Fire), Dallas-Fort Worth (FC Dallas), Denver (Colorado Rapids), Los Angeles (Los Angeles Galaxy), New York City (New York Red Bulls), Philadelphia (Philadelphia Union), San Francisco (San Jose Earthquakes), Washington, D.C. (D.C. United).

Good to know. Older article so a bit outdated evidently. I am not a soccer fan, so I'll rely on you guys for info.

Wasn’t trying to state your info was wrong, figured it was an older article.

But nonetheless this just really negates Arizona in the market of being a sports city. Doesn’t have 4 let alone 5.

I see where you are coming from because I'm not an avid MLS follower, but MLS has grown a lot. and the MLS development system is yielding American (adult) talent.

The fact that we don't have an MLS team is appalling!
US soccer should institute relegation.

If we ever get an MLS team I hope they can take the Rising name. Such a perfect name and logo.

It is catching on. Sport of future since 1976
Portland sells out MLS and NWSL matches. It helps that the Thorns have Sofia Smith. She's so fun to watch. I really wish we'd get one more pro team though.
