Thoughts and feelings posts have returned.
I didn't understand your response "thoughts and feelings" and was just going to let it go, but could you please explain what you mean? Every post is someone's "thoughts and feelings" sooooo....I'm always eager to learn

That's the kind of hype he gets from a select few, though. I mean, if he's really THAT good, if he's all that and a bucket of chicken, teams will stump up. Right?
Carson Palmer and Kurt Warner were on the trash heap prior to coming here.

You KDS Crew really love bashing K1. He will go somewhere that he wants to go not some dud like the Jets or Riders.

What does that have to do with anything? I'm simply saying by Kyler stan logic, he should be worth a high pick. You're swerving left when the conversation is going right :)

it's been months - the manufactured machiavellian martyrdom of kyler murray has been beyond munificent - he's done for the year and he's done here - and it all sounds pretty mutual to me

I think bringing him back next year would be worth it just to see the heads explode :)

I could make an argument that if Monti and JG are to come back, it would be more responsible for the team to bring Kyler back vs letting that group pick a new QB.

I wouldn't likely watch but they all deserve each other IMO.

Stop with logic and facts!
Who was running ball in those respective games?

Murray
Conner
Benson

Brissett
Bam
Carter

Kinda makes sense there’s a yard difference per rush, no? I’d think Kyler’s rushing alone would have a big impact there because no one is mistaking brissett for the rusher that Kyler is. Of course you compare passing yards and it’s no comparison.

I mean he has elevated the coach by 32% on wins.
Over what a competent QB would do? Or over what a collection of clear backups have done? I mean no one expected the Cardinals to perform as well as, much less better, with guys that were signed to be backups, no? So I do t believe that’s really Kyler “elevating” anything.

Murray 19 (not good enough)

Brissett 27

Basically any site that combines EPA, QBR and the like one is mid and one is butthole
I don’t know why there’s any argument of Kyler to brissett. That’s a nonstarter unless you’re trying to argue who should be our BQBOF (backup qb of the future). The only thing that’s important is whether Kyler would be better than a legitimate alternative starter quality qb.

My great fear is we burn a top pick on a QB and then Gannon and Monti ruin him over the next 3 years

I agree that he is a bottom half of the league QB. I have him in like the 18-20 range, which is why we should move on.

I am just looking at the numbers and removing emotion out of it. Those numbers tell me this story:

He can elevate a dog crap team to mediocrity but he can't elevate a dog crap team to higher than mediocrity.

He is massively overpaid for his production and he hasn't lived up to his draft status.

Shane is correct that being overpaid and not living up to your draft status are problems. I would put that somewhere below Owner, GM, and HC based on the 2-16 record without him.
I think this just boils down to semantics and how people think of the word “elevate.”
