Yeah I don’t think McCarthys problems are mechanical. He’s had some of the highest level coaching available for years. It’s possible he’s just not that good — at least not good enough to meet the rest of the team where it is right now.

There’s probably a reason Michigan never really wanted to put the ball in his hands. Best thing for him would be to go to a team with an established QB and have a dedicated coach to work with him for an entire year. That’s what KC did with Mahomes.

Maybe that would make McCarthy functional at the NFL level. Otherwise his future probably looks a lot like Justin Fields’s.

That's been my point all along on him. HIghly recruited kid. Like all of the young QB's these days he spent time at the elite camps, had a personal QB coach etc. Went to Michigan and played for Harbaugh. Then spends a year hurt working with KOC. And then comes out this year and looks like he has no clue what he's doing.

My nephew is a hard core Vikings fan and he was saying yesterday he can't believe they let Darnold go for this kid. He even said I know he's not great but he thinks if the Vikings had traded for Murray they would be a playoff team this year.

If you give JJ a clean pocket and a Wr wide open he will throw a perfect tight spiral to the guy and you think man that kid has size, arm, he can run. But if he has to anything else, touch pass, put it on the guy on the run etc he's going to miss more than he hits and many of them will miss high. Slow release.

He's young and inexperienced but if he's this bad with the amount of high level coaching he's already had, it says something

Kyler has never accomplished anything. Zero division titles. Zero playoff wins. One humiliating playoff appearance in 7 seasons is not accomplishing anything, IMO.

Jalen Hurts, who has been doubted and discounted his entire career, does whatever it takes to support his team and is obsessed with improving and winning.

I was a Hurts doubter and discounter but I’m a believer today. I’d probably rather have 8-10 other QBs for my team. But he’s not actively embarrassing like Kyler is.

For the record Kyler has thrown 60 INTs in his career and has 3 solo tackles. Peyton Manning threw 251 INTs and had 9 tackles. Did you question Peyton too? Stupid argument.
