If an offensive coordinator doesn't have enough faith that a QB can throw down the field then it's time to get a new QB. This 2 to 4 yard passing stuff only works in someplace like Pittsburgh in December. Nobody can make an excuse for Murray today. The one thing Daniel Jones has shown this year is that you need a QB to fit your system.
I don't know what type of QB and recievers Petzing needs to fit his system but none of these guys are it.

Murray attempted and completed some longer passes and made some clutch plays under pressure when the Cards were down 14. As Fitzpatrick said, "You wish he'd find a way to have that sense of urgency earlier in the game."

I think if you're a K1 superfan (like me, obviously), that's what you take away from this game.

Those last six minutes are the blueprint to score touchdowns, even on a good defense.

I’ll shoot Kyler a little bit of bail.

Nobody on this offense can take the top off the defense.

This team badly needs a speeder. Having one alone would free up everything underneath for Marv, Wilson, Trey, etc, but especially for Marv.

Now, would a much better QB make this offense look better? Of course.

However, I feel like the ceiling of this offense, at least if it were compared to a Super Bowl contender, would still be low.

I’m out- we are going nowhere with Kyler behind the wheel. 8-22 in the division since his start.

I don’t care how good Kyler looks in garbage games when the season doesn’t count or when he can barely squeak out a win against a garbage team. We need a leader of this offense who can win us meaningful games.

hmmm. yes, perhaps I have.

Where have the years gone my friend? :)

Let's see what happens with Tennessee game Cheese. How does 3-2 sound to you? :)

It sounds like the same old story… good enough to beat some bad teams, but still not good enough to beat any of the good ones.

Which ultimately means not good enough.

And after 7 years of this, enough is enough.

So the fact that we lost the last two games is primarily K1's fault?

I don't think that would necessarily be unreasonable to say, and I'm sure some would pound the table saying it.

Just curious if you're in that camp.

Dearest Mother,

I grow weary early into this long campaign. Defeat follows us like a shadow and I fear our leader, young Murray, is not fit to guide us into battle. His command is uncertain, his resolve weak and when the fighting turns grim, he pouts upon the sidelines like a spoiled child. Under his watch the losses mount and hope withers. Even Commander Gannon has begun to lose the confidence of the troops.

I’m not. I think EVERYTHING about this team is so beyond mid, it makes me want to puke.

But when that’s the case, you def can’t have your QB be mid. And that’s what he is, IMO He doesn’t inspire and he stopped taking risk unless totally desperate. Actual contenders need QBs who actually play all 4 quarters. Consistently.
