Why not Gangsters? The Las Vegas Mob? The Sinners? (Sin City). I like Gamblers from the list above.

The Gamblers is pretty good but in regard to the others, Las Vegas may not want to give up their family friendly image.

I like the others though.

he would like to eventually see the Grizzlies play a few home games each season in Nashville instead of all 41 in Memphis:

“If it were up to me, I’d love for them to play a few games a year and sorta be Tennessee’s team to the extent they can.”

I have a friend who lives in Nashville and doesn't care about the Grizzlies at all. He blames it on being older as he was in his early 30's when they moved to Memphis but he also says no one in the city cares much as it's an NFL city that supports college basketball, Vanderbilt and TSU. Maybe it makes a slight difference like how the Spurs play a few games in Austin but the game is so accessible now through streaming that I doubt live outings really make a big difference.

Las Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley is another candidate planning to make an official bid for the NBA’s expansion team in 2028-29.

Foley, former Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry, and NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson have all signaled early interest in Las Vegas ownership bids.

Samantha Holloway, the majority owner of the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, is preparing to submit a future expansion bid to bring back the SuperSonics in 2028-29.

Holloway is viewed as the current favorite to win an ownership bid for Seattle.

NBA expansion bids this summer involving Las Vegas and Seattle are expected to reach over $7 billion.

For reference, the current highest team sales in NBA history:

Lakers: $10 billion
Celtics: $6.1 billion
Suns: $4 billion

If expansion does happen (and it would be shocking if not), the NBA would like to add teams in Las Vegas and Seattle starting in the 2028-29 season. Bids for both franchises are expected to go between $7 billion - $10 billion.Foley is retaining Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett will also advise.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver says expansion is on track to happen in 2028 as they are actively accepting bids for Las Vegas and Seattle.

A decision will be made no later than December.

I just hope we don't lose anyone to that draft.

It'd be interesting if Jerry gets back into the NBA as an owner, especially in the Southwest.

I did Google this info and it appears to be legit.

Strong belief remains the NBA will soon announce an expansion to 32 teams beginning in 2028-29.Las Vegas and Seattle will be the destinations, and serious momentum is building behind the scenes for bidding. An NBA expansion draft would take place during the 2028 offseason.

This is the kind of stuff I used to get excited about just to see the new uniforms and logos, etc. But the branding of just about all contemporary NBA franchises is so butt ugly, I find I can no longer care less about that aspect.

Seattle has the rights to the Supersonic name and color scheme. If they don't go that route then they're stupid.

I have little hope Vegas will do something cool. They've made rather generic franchises in other sports. Although the rumor of Jerry Colangelo being behind that group does pique my Interest.
