Mediocre QBs don't win rookie of the year, elected to the probowl multiple times, and be talked about as an MVP.

Sure they do. Rookie of the year depends who they are up against. 100% Kyler would have lost to Josh Jacobs if Jacobs stayed healthy.

Dak Prescott won it and you think he's worse than Kyler. And don't get me started Pro Bowls and the list of crappy QB's like Mitch Trubisky and Tyler Huntley.

The sad thing is that in an extremely weak NFC Kyler hasn't been to the Pro Bowl since 2021. Since then Kirk Cousins, Jared Goff and Geno Smith beat him out in 2022 and last year he got beat out by Goff, Darnold and Mayfield.

Now that’s funny lol. So, now you want to criticize Murray for not being as good as 3 of the GREATEST QB’s in NFL history? And for the record, Mahomes & Lamar were drafted by perennial winning organizations where a culture of success had already been established. And I’m pretty sure I’ve never said that I would prefer Murray to Allen either. All I’ve said is that Murray hasn’t been blessed having been drafted by the hapless Cardinal franchise. I will say this….Had we drafted Bosa & the Niners then took Murray, the Niners would have won at least 2 Super Bowls with him. The Cardinals had the 1st pick in 2019 draft because the 2018 team was downright pathetic. Meanwhile, the only reason the Niners picked 2nd is because they had more injuries than any football team that I can remember.

You're deluded. Kyler is who he is on any team. His limitations are baked in. The idea that he'd much better on some other team is pure fantasy.

Don’t search this thread

Nobody said either of them are amazing. Show me.

What some said was that Geno (not Darnold) is better than Kyler. And that's in evidence from his record and his stats over the last 3 seasons, but also anyone that actually watched him play.

More fun with AI searches. I asked for a list of the all time highest rated QB seasons in Arizona Cardinals franchise history.

Murray 3 out of the top 5.

Murray's 7.3 yards per attempt last year is the 11th best season in franchise history.

He is also #7 with 7.6 in 2020

Palmer's 8.7 in 2015 is the best.

Murray #3 all time passing TDs. Will likely be #2 after this season

I think we already established the franchise has a long history of bad quarterbacks and that Kyler is one of the better bad quarterbacks we have ever had.

Counting stats are going to go with longevity. Rate stats are really dependent on the overall era.

Unless you have a long term hall of famer in your franchise, a QB from the past 10 years is likely your top rate stat leader.

Highest completion percentage Cardinals franchise history:

Murray 67.1%
Warner 65.1%
Palmer 62.3%
Lomax 57.6%
Plummer 55.9%
He is spectacular. Please post some of his playoff stats. Surely his greatness carries over into the many postseason games he has played for the team, right?

This is bogis though. The game has changed.

Has it? Let's see what AI says:

2005 NFL average completion percentage 62.5%
2015 NFL average completion percentage 63%
2025 NFL average competion percentage 65.3%

So a 3.2% completion percentage raise in 20 years. So adjust down the variance and on par with Warner and still better than Palmer. So 2nd most accurate QB in franchise history instead of most?

I mean we are really only in 5 seasons. That is pretty spectacular longevity though for this sad sack franchise.
