Kyler is a mid tier QB. I believe a team can win with him if the rest of the offense is in a good place. We focus on his worst traits and take his good ones for granted.

To be clear: this bell has rung and its best for both parties to start fresh.

I fear that the Cards are about to enter a Cleveland / NY Jets / Pitt run of QB purgatory where if everything goes perfectly, you get to 9 wins. And by perfectly -- that means two or three of the other starting QBs in the NFC west go down with season ending injuries early.
This doesn’t track due to the record without K1. Most of the rosters K1 has played with have been total trash and the record without him proves that out.

Yes it still tracks. Just because the record without him is worse doesn't mean he isn't still a mid-tier QB. Both can be true.

i'd take brissett over kyler in 2026 again too - bbq is not as physically gifted as kyler but is better in every other fashion - including being a good teammate and comes with a better draft pick in 2027

mid-tier top-tier i don't care because kyler doesn't care

to doom another new coaching staff with them having to do it all despite kyler's character - we just tried that - and petzing was actually fine once he got a pocket passer even without a run game

lock the thread - kyler doesn't exist anymore

I would take Kyler over Briskett - JB is molasses and not that good.

And Petzing was not good with anyone.

Mid Tier QBs typically don't have much success in the playoffs or get their teams to the playoffs that often. Seems to fit.
Mid Tier QBs don’t even get to the playoffs because they don’t get wins.

The Cards don’t get to the playoffs with any QBs except for 3 in their history of being in AZ.

Almost 40 years and have 3 QBs in the playoffs.

Only in your mind my man.
Has nothing to do with my mind. The record speaks for itself. How many times has Kyler been to the playoffs or even won a playoff game?

Nuff said. To me "mid-Tier" means being good enough to get a handful of wins but it never leads anywhere.

Brissett took over a designed running offense. We lost Connor. Benson never developed and injured. The o-line was subpar. Forgotten about losing Rieman who is a blocking TE completely changed the dynamics and ability of this team to run the ball. Suddenly everything was on the arm of the qb in a 1 dimensional offense.

Not many will not take this in consideration. I think Brissett can manage the game. His mobility limitations demands a strong offensive line. Reality is until there’s a better option it’s where we are.

now you got it

So..again...Kyler.

It’s posts like these that make me want to see K1 go to a real franchise and not one that is plagued by the Bidwill, M.’s continued ineptitude.

One of you actually thinks Brissett is better than K1. He deserves to be a fan of this team. No one should be wanting to see Brissett ever again after the last 14 games.

I won’t watch a single game next year that Brissett starts.
Zero ability to win a game.

Please don't speak for me. I think Brissett proved he runs the offense better. I also never claimed that the Cards awful ownership isn't a factor. We have had 14 games of Brissett but 7 years of Kyler. IMO, neither of them are the answer.

At this point, I prefer Kyler, but if it is Briskett, it will not make much of a difference.

Team has a lot more holes to fill than QB, and there is currently no other QB's available either in FA or the draft that will make a difference.

I am fine with riding Kyler for another year and then drafting someone in 2027.

If it is Briskett, fine, better draft pick in 2027.
