The very next play after the Conner drop. It's 3rd and 10.

Let's play a game of "Guess which option Kyler chooses of the many, many options"

I mean Jesus H, how many options do you want?

In order of preference.

Trey is 1 on 1 with a TD chance.
Marv would be almost certain to get a 1st down (at least)
Zay would almost certainly get a 1st down

But no, only ever have eyes for the RB and a 3 yard checkdown. Clean as you like too.

I’m at the point where I’d rather see Kyler line up in the I-formation and run a naked bootleg on third down, with the game on the line. Better chance of him converting, than one of our receivers catching one of his passes. #somethinghastogive

You have no idea how to watch tape. Especially i fyou see Trey 1 v 1 in this play. (FYI He was Kyler's first read, but you didn't notice the safety....good thing Kyler did)

Has Kyler been the better overall pick than Bosa? I still don't think he has sacked K1
Bosa is a two way DE. Elite vs the pass and run probably second to Myles Garrett in that regard. 64.5 career sacks and 10 in the playoffs. He’s been a stud (roided out of his mind) but a stud nonetheless.

Totally agree Bosa is the better player and always thought we whiffed there. For some reason I thought he had more season ending injuries, hasn't won a super bowl and if it was better in the end to at least get a starting QB.

I still think we would’ve went Quinnen over Bosa.

Also, I would put both Parsons & Crosby over Bosa.

I’m almost certain Keim takes Bosa who had been a 5* star with family pedigree. Those couple years before Chandler lost it would’ve been fun despite not having a QB.

We definitely shouldve taken Bosa over Murray. Bosa is a Top-5 pass rusher; whereas, Kyler is in the bottom half of starting QBs. Yes, that would've meant an additional year of Rosen, but either he figures it out, or we take a QB from the loaded 2020 class.

It would’ve, but I think that’s more the reason we go Quinnen because we really had no DTs even though we had an EDGE(I’m always down making EDGE a super strength tho).

Thats at least first and goal inside the 5 if he hits MHJ, and likely a TD if he avoids the tackler at the goal line.

Kyler's vision is terrible, whether it be from him being short or just lacking the acuity to play the position

And what if that QB happened to be Tua? We would be in the same position we are now. Even worse, honestly.

Or get Herbert, Love, Burrow, or Hurts.

There were many red flags with Kyler that Keim chose to ignore, and right now, it's costing this organization.

The only realistic choice other than Tua was Herbert.

It’s extremely difficult to hold the #1 pick in back to back years, so Burrow was out of the question.

Love and Hurts were seen as massive projects, hence them not getting drafted in the first round, so they were out of the equation.

What has & will continue to cost this organization is poor ownership with significant history of bad choices. Would you have really expected this franchise to make the right choice and draft Herbert over Tua? Be honest with yourself.

Neither of us know what would’ve happened, but I know that Murray wasn’t a lock to do anything of substance in the NFL. All I know is that it’s year seven, and Kyler is massively under performing his draft position to the point in which he’s become expendable.

Again you guys don't know what you are watching. The linebacker was right there for Marv, if Kyler hits him he gets destroyed or the LBer makes a break on it and it's a pick. You see him "open" after kyler has already started his throwing motion to the dump off, when the LB breaks on play. I beg of all of you wanna be film watchers to at least try to know what you are talking about!

Man, MHJ just has 0 urgency in his routes.

Very good point. I'll also add a 5 or 6 step drop from the shotgun really throws off the timing and passing angles for the routes that are being ran. I would guess that's not the way it's drawn up.
And he very well may be ok with dropping to 11 yards, but the sheer geometry of it means that he has to climb the pocket or stay at that depth to give his tackles a chance.

They don’t care of context, they just hate Kyler. Look how pathetic JC looked this season (largely bc of Oline, but some part likely bc RBs just age out at 30.. especially bruisers). He had a whopping 3.0 yards per an attempt, no more 39 rushing yards… no more than 18 receiving yards this year.

You could have put the bottom barrel of RBs in this league and they would have put up the same stats or better this year with 12+ touches a game. If we remove the context of a crap Oline and crap play calling this board should be on the hate wagon for JC.. but because he’s not Kyler, these people take in the true context of JC’s situation here.

I’m unsure what the route combo is meant to do. Free up the receiver in the right flat? We run two receivers to the same spot late in their routes which essentially takes them both out of the play and run dortch deep (if it’s a come back he likely gets a first down). That said the least impactful throw was always going to be the checkdown here.
This has the feel of the deep over routes that MHJ got open throughout the game. The Dortch motion to help declare coverage and then he clears out down the field for a high low combo between MHJs over route and McBride to the flat after his chip. Wilson with a pseudo mesh to keep the back side honest.
