Bo Nix just finished season with 29 passing touchdowns. I had to stop and think for a min that we might actually never see K1 reach that mark or surpass it as Cardinal smh
Is Sean Payton coming here to coach him.

Oh wait Mikey blew that one too.

Manning: Nope
Reid: Nope
Payton: Nope
Ian Cunningham: Nope

Shocked no one wants to come here.
Can we please stop comparing ourselves to successful franchises and coaches.

We ain't on their level.

I love JG but he was a total crap shoot and MO was a bottom of the barrel pick.
Same goes for our coordinators.

Just this season we have seen some of our guys that were signed in other places have success.
Its really frustrating and one of the main reasons I would be very hesitant to castoff K1.

It's mostly Kyler throwing short of the sticks. Kyler's average yards per attempt on 3rd and 7+ was 5.18. OOF. Three first downs in 43 passing attempts (this is also pretty small sample sizes here, but high-leverage situations).

For the whole Cards offense, there were 70 plays of 3rd and long, rushed 30/passed 43/7 sacks.

Seven passing first downs, four rushing first downs.

Worth noting that those rushes on 3rd and 7+ are mostly going to be "3rd and no chance" and it's just getting more yards for the punt, or closer to a FG.

Random gripe. The combination of Kyler and Petzing throw away too many 3rd and medium to 3rd and longs. Redsz shared tweet reminded me of that.
Right. Calling those annoying draw plays in the modern NFL is a double negative, given the amount of defensive penalties that lead to automatic first downs.

Yes. Of the 30 rushing attempts on third and long 15 of them were 10+. We rushed just five times in 26 opportunities in third and 7-9 situations.

Kyler averaged 3.8 YPA and got three first downs in 21 plays in the same situation.

Yeah, Kyler has never done that...

I'm not sure at this point you're even being serious. If you want to replace someone, the idea is you replace them with someone BETTER than the guy you're replacing, unless the plan is to tank.

You're talking about bringing in a guy who has played a full season exactly once in his long NFL career. Has played double digit games 3 times in his career. Has played 8 games in the last 2 seasons combined. Has a long history of injuries, got caught doing PED's and then his excuse was he messed up the paperwork that allows a temporary exemption for something that's prescribed, which Raiders people essentially immediately denied was true.

Can he still play, probably, for about 3 games before he gets hurt again. He has zero upside. And it's not like his career has been held back by coaching he's played for Belichick, Shanahan and now is with McVay.

If you want us to tank for a draft pick just say it because if you cut Kyler and sign Jimmy, you're going to have at least 10 games next year started by whoever your backup QB is

When you aren't funny, just keep telling a different version of the same joke.
There is not much to say about K1 if you are going to tell jokes about him.

Short, Short, Short, Short, COD, COD, COD

I actually think Annie is hilarious and I love her weekly recaps.

IMO: its the number one thing they both need to work on this offseason

Just watching, I dont get the sense that Petzing' offense has easy answers here (not that 3rd and long is easy for anybody)

i also think that Kyler handles these situations poorly -- sped up and too anxious to take the underneath

I don't mind the short jokes. I'm also the same exact size as Kyler, so I know how hearing it motivated me for a long time.

Yeah it's just unoriginal at this point. There are plenty of ways to joke on Murray instead of going into the 6 year old well.
You're right, these jokes do come up a little short!

But seriously, she turns these around sooooo fast, she needs some low hanging fruit.
