As the league year opens, here are 13 Cardinals UFAs: Kelvin Beachum, Aaron Brewer, Pharah Brown, Calais Campbell, Josiah Deguara, Greg Dortch, Simi Fehoko, Matt Haack, Darren Hall, Will Hernandez, Zay Jones, J.J. Russell, Jonah Williams.
Bring Back CC, if he wants to go one more year..and Double A Ron Brewer... keep Haack on speed dial.

Long way to go, but so far they’ve got some solid guys.
The Qb sittuation is bring the fan base down. Not to many here believe in JB and the ones that do consider him barely adequate.
Can ML put together an offense that raise the overall performance?
We added a Connor like rb. If Connor is Conner it’s a great 1-2 punch. If Benson becomes the player we hoped he would be the rb room is strong.

Best case scenario for us is we're like the 2022 Seahawks.

In 2021 the Seahawks had Geno sub in for a hurt Russel Wilson (who had played awful most of the season), and despite going 1-3, Geno looked serviceable. That off season the Seahawks got rid of Wilson and decided to stick with Geno.

Everyone was predicting them to tank and go 3-14. Instead they won 9 games, made the playoffs, and Geno broke the franchise passing record.

Eh. Disagree there. He’s solid and has been healthy more often than not. Think the team just shut him down last year because they’re losers. Letting him walk out the door would only further cement that already well cemented sentiment.
No letting him walk out the door. Exercise his fifth year option and let him play out year 4.

He’s solid but not irreplaceable. No rush.

There is no way they should extend Williams unless it’s fifty cents on the dollar. Dude is a solid-ish corner but his body’s about as sturdy as Mr. Glass.
Even when he was healthy last year, he was pretty awful. Gave up 5 TDs and a passer rating of 129.2.

Allgeier Is an excellent addition; underrated by the board. There was no clear QB solution unless they’re choosing to gamble on Simpson.

I like it. The glass is half full and I'm half crazy.

Allgeier, Seumalo, Lopez and Bourne all should be solid contributors. Pryor and Winguard should be decent contibutors. This is a good start IMO.
Eh, the only ones that move the needle are Seumalo and Allgeier, and keeping JC along with him is rather redundant. I'd like us to have a solid team around whomever is our new QBOF for next season, and Monti in year 4 is still mostly just building the belly of the team. Where's the DL help? Where's a right side of the OL? Where's MLB? The list goes on, and just relying on the draft isn't going to come close to doing the job. Besides, why can't we trade low picks or low pick swaps for good players?

I don't disagree with Harry, but a few more moves have to go through for me to say that FA has helped the team enough.

And Monti hasn't had a single home run draft yet and if you aren't hitting home runs in free agency, a team isn't going to markedly improve.

One of the single dumbest moves in football is to let a young LT with talent go.
That’s literally the opposite of what I said; we agree. Why prioritize extending him when we don’t need to free up cap dollars, he’s not an elite performer, and we still have two years of team control?

This stuff isn’t hard when you’re not determined to immediately beat out maximum snark.

You don’t want to win though. You want the Cards to lose on purpose and get the highest possible draft pick

No, I don't. I'm just acknowledging the fact that all options are losing options, and paying someone else to come in and get us 1-2 more wins (if that) is pointless and self destructive.

Frankly, I find your "Give me one more hit" attitude, the hopeless fantasy of eeking out another win or two with a washed up nobody, to be counterproductive and is EXACTLY the kind of behavior you would complain your ass off about.

It just so happens you have chosen "We could do better at quarterback" as your Dark side persona this year. Had we signed Cousins or Trey Lance on day 1 I guaran-freaking-tee you that you'd have adopted "Why are we wasting resources in the hope of an extra win or two that takes us away from QB1 next year". You just like to complain.

I’m not opposed to adding Jennings if the price is doable. He’s a premier 3rd down receiver and would love to burn the Niners. Four receivers seems excess, but with the number of games typically missed, he’d be a solid asset.

Disagree. These are all mostly complimentary and niche roles being filled by league average players. WR3, rotational RB, NT, LG, backup OL, and special teams S. There is very little if anything special about almost of these guys except maybe Seumalo and Allgeier. Seumalo might be able to be a top 10 LG in the league like he is being paid (actually 11th). We will see there. Can Allgeier be as good of a RB as Javonte Williams or Dobbins. IF so, that's good but not special.
