Sources: The #Patriots are signing former #Cardinals OLB Jesse Luketa to a 1-year contract. The former Penn State standout recorded three sacks and one forced fumble in 10 games in 2024.
Hes wrong, Cards can clear plenty of cap space with releases.just to temper everyones' expectations on free agency:
Gambo yesterday did a segment on the Cards cap situation by starting out saying that the release of Kyler is "really, really bad for their cap" and that what is there will go quickly because the #3 pick is paid a lot. Plus you need a reserve for IR during the season....... "They just cant fit Malik Willis in at $20mm per season -- there isnt room."
I don't know what I was more annoyed at:
Gambo's complete misunderstanding of how the cap works,
or,
his transparent attempt to cover for the organization when it doesn't really spend much on free agents.
The Cowboys just cleared 66 mill in cap space by restructuring.Hes wrong, Cards can clear plenty of cap space with releases.
Oh, I thought da Bears were going to sign them. Interesting.Ian Rapoport

The #Chargers make a splash before free agency, agreeing to terms with C Tyler Biadasz on a 3-year deal worth $30M, per The Insiders.
Biadasz was cut by the #Commanders after being set to make $8.3M. Now he lands in LA with a raise in a deal done by

You had me at Tacos but the Modelo was smart move2 yrs/84m/55gtd
Probably gets it done pretty quickly.
Outrageously high for the player. But not for a starting QB... short term keeps it easy to recover from. High guarantee makes it appealing to the player.
He likely won't get that much... but if I'm a GM of a team that needs a short term QB1...I have the value figured out before he arrives and would drop something like this in front of him right away...like, over tacos and Modelo, and make sure he never gets a chance to see what anyone else is offering.
Speculation is kinda entertaining when it ain't my money.
If it was Chucks money...
Okay, 10 grand per start...100 bucks per snap...10 dollars per passing yard and 20 per rushing yard...passing TD is $1000...rushing TD is 2000...
Get a win...it's an additional 25k per start...
50k for each WR you send to the pro bowl...
100k for each pro bowl RB...
1 million for a league leading WR... 2 mill for a league leading RB...
Stay safe out there!
This is my last offseason giving him the chance to prove he’s notMonti is a loser so...
It’s the contractSo Kyler is good enough to provide value to a Super Bowl team/coach but not the Cardinals?
Or just sign Willis no need for plan B my plan B is drafting Ty Simpson mid first round to back up Willis. If Kyler didn't have such an asinine contract he might be plan B if they were unsuccessful in signing Malik Willis. Who knows what plan B is now, Jacoby. Jimmy G., Cousins, etc.?!?
Probably a 90% chance Kyler is released imo.
Yup but all the money is crazyThis feels absolutely NUTS to me.
Cap space walks into a bar.....LOLCap space is a joke
Don’t worry…we aren’t signing Pierce. If we sign Pierce we need to trade away either MHJ or Wilson, Pierce is going to get paid north of 25 million a year to be a WR1. Somebody in that room is going to be relegated to a 60% snap share as the WR3.
he was wrong on a number of things about the Cards cap situationHes wrong, Cards can clear plenty of cap space with releases.
