Huh. Los Angeles here they come.

I don't know how much say-so Del Rio had in bringing in players, but I always thought he did more than many would have with what he had.

To this day, I do not know how he survived the "chopping wood" incident a few years ago. This has been long overdue.

Weaver supposedly got a garentee that the Jags wouldn't be moved by the new owner. We shall see.

http://tracking.si.com/2011/11/29/r...es-have-been-informed-the-team-has-been-sold/

People think the Jags are the favorites to move to L.A., but the rumors swirling around here is that San Diego will be the first team to relocate to Tinsel Town.

The Chargers are having a tough time getting a new stadium or significant upgrades to Qualcomm from San Diego County. Ownership has made several proposals, but they keep getting shut down. It makes the most sense because aside from the Raiders, the Chargers have the largest fan base in Los Angeles, meaning the smoothest transition for both the Chargers and AEG would be if the Chargers moved.

The Jags are a definite possibility; however, relocating 2500 miles for a team with a small fan base would make it difficult to build a steady product unless the team hits the ground running. Because that's how Angelinos roll: they are the biggest bandwagoners in the nation and will only attend games if they are doing significantly well.

Dang it, MJD has been lighting it up for me, and I need to win this last regular-season game to make the playoffs. Curse your timing, Jags! *shakes fist*

I still say the only 2 teams that may move to LA is the Vikes & Bolts. My $$$ is on the Vikes...they've been having problems problems getting a stadium passed for years & this appears to be their last chance with this year only left on their lease...didn't sound promising when I was up for the Cards game.

The Florida - Georgia annual neutral field battle ( world's largest cocktail party ) is the biggest event in that town and stadium. They won't be missed.

My guess - Redskin's Mike Shanahan; Whisenhunt will be given at minimum another year; Caldwell is given a pass due to no Manning.

It's worth noting that there are two proposed sites for a stadium: one downtown and one in the City of Industry. The two are mutually exclusive to one another. There is a good chance that within five years, two franchises relocate to L.A.

The AEG deal in downtown is all but a done deal.

1. Norv Turner - Gone, daddy, gone. I'd take him in a heartbeat as OC. I don't think he's going to get another HC gig.

...big gap here...

2. Tom Coughlin
3. Any Reid
4. Leslie Frazier

The "fire Andy" chants were raining down from a half empty stadium in Philly. If they lose to the Seahawks I think Andy is toast by next tuesday.

ON that list the most likely earliest firing to me would be ...... Andy.

IMO if I were a GM I'd be getting an itchy finger now so that you can be first in line to grab anyone good that might be out there before the xmas rush.

I agree he should be fired, and no I would never ever hire him as an OC cause he only lasts about a year until some other fool tries again to make him a HC.

Wow. I hadn't heard any speculation about TWO teams moving. That's interesting.

Wow. I hadn't heard any speculation about TWO teams moving. That's interesting.

It goes by the wayside because there has been so much emphasis on the AEG downtown project and the immanence that the deal will go through that the Grand Crossing deal (City of Industry) has been somewhat of an afterthought.

The only problem is although the Grand Crossing deal comes with 600 acres of land at no cost, the team moving to L.A. would have to front the bill for the construction of the stadium. Of course, this is before negotiating has even started, so this could very well change.

Meanwhile, the AEG project will (by all accounts) pay for the $1.1billion stadium. In addition, it already has naming rights to the stadium (Farmers Field), and is in a more desirable location; thus, making the AEG deal much more attractive. So IMO, the more desirable team will play in downtown and the other will play in the City of Industry.

There is also talk that a team could relocate as early as 2013 and play a few seasons at either the Coliseum or the Rose Bowl, while one of the new stadiums is being built.

Rumors are swirling about which teams will be candidates for relocation. AEG claims it has already begun discussions with a few teams about the prospect of coming to L.A.

In my opinion, this is the list of teams, in order, that have the best chance of playing in L.A.:

  1. Chargers (I'm almost certain about this)
  2. Vikings
  3. Raiders
  4. Jaguars
  5. Rams
  6. Bills

1. Andy Reid - he's done. Too much upheaval in Philly about the dream team and its epic failures
2. Ken Wizzenuts - he gets one more year to right the ship. Cards won't can a guy with two years remaining on his contract
3. Norv Turner - he's done
4. Tony Sporano - if he finishes the year strong like he's doing now, he'll be safe
5. Jim Caldwell - he's done
6. Tom Coughlin - always on the hot seat. The only way he gets canned is if New York has a better option lined up, such as Bill Cowher
7. Spagnola - he's done. 10 wins in three seasons is inexcusable.

1. Reid - Philly would be beyond stupid to fire him, one of the top HC's in the NFL. He'll get another year & will bring Spagnola in as his DC. If the Eagles were stupid enough to fire him, he'd be unemployed for about 30 seconds.
2. Whiz - going nowhere.
3. Turner - fired! Horrible HC. Solid OC.
4. Sporano - probably gone no matter what. Owner is just waiting for a better candidate to appear.
5. Caldwell - should be fired, but may get another year with Manning back under center. DC just got fired today after 14 years at the helm.
6. Coughlin - If the Giants don't make the playoffs, he's a goner. They would hire Reid in a nano second.
7. Spagnola - FIRED. Off to Eagles as DC
8. Frazier - he'll get another year.
9. Shanahan - Most overrated HC in football, but he'll get one more year.
