The Bills and starting DT Star Lotulelei have agreed to a restructured contract for the final three years of his deal.

For 2020, Lotulelei’s base salary drops by $1.75M, but becomes fully guaranteed, with $2.5M in injury guarantees for 2021 added. Some benefit for both sides.

This explains it or Winston is going to great lengths to justify the INT's. :)

I haven't seen this posted so apologize if its a repeat but...teams get the franchise tag and transition tag this year vs either or in past years. I also read that you can have 2 transition tags if you don't use the franchise tag. The Cowboys could essentially tag both Dak and Amari.

Transition tag for OL was ~13m in 2019 (Offensive lineman – $12.866MM)

Assuming no agreement on a new CBA is reached between now and March 2020, contract structures next offseason will be affected. And because of that, long-term contract structures and teams' long-range plans could be affected this offseason. To play off our lead example above, for instance: Article 10 of the CBA stipulates that, in the Final League Year, teams are allowed to designate one franchise player and one transition player.

The NFLPA Executive Committee & player reps will meet in DC on Thursday for a potentially consequential meeting for CBA talks, sources tell me &
@MikeGarafolo. They’ve given the NFL a list of final issues. If — a big IF — they are resolved to their liking, there’s likely a vote.
