Wow.

Boise St. wins and an Oregon player (Blount) delivers a right punch to the face of one of the Boise St. players...then goes after some fans...and has to be escorted from the field by police officers...

Way to represent the PAC-10, you thug !! :thumbdown

Oregon looked like a disaster tonight. Their offensive line was horrible to start with. Their Coach seemed to abandon the system thats made Oregon successful in recent years, which is especially confusing since he has a QB w/ a LBs body who cant pass all that well. The QB made horrible reads and just looked lousy. Then to top it off one of their best players may be suspended for the year or at least for a few games.

Oregons got Purdue, Utah and Cal all coming up at home (luckily for them) that could be a brutal stretch if they keep playing like they did tonight. Oregons season could potentially be sunk before it starts.

I hope Blount gets put in jail. I hope this ends his college career. Kid doesn't belong in college.

HOWEVER, I hope Haut knows he got what he deserved. Kid's stupid. Stupid for being jackass motor mouth. Stupid for not leaving his helmet on. And stupid for turning his back on a dead-on thug.

^I wouldnt be surprised if the BSU player gets suspended for a game or maybe a half. Its not like he'll be the difference when BSU plays Miami of Ohio anyway, so Peterson can send a message and not really hurt his team by holding him out for a game.

just got back from the game. What a great defensive effort by bsu. no first downs in the first half and only 14 total yards.

I was able to see some of the on the field stuff and talked to a few people after about some things that went down. Everyone was buzzing about it after the game. The stadium video guy was on it, replaying the punch over and over. most of the fans were still around so they got pretty worked up. As blount was being escorted off there was another altercation with some fans, and he shoved some security guards.

A few people who were in the end zone seats were saying he punched some of his own players who tried to restrain him. From where i was, i was able to see the altercation, but it was hard to tell what happened with all players from both teams at midfield.

Sadly, the punch will be talked about more than a good win for boise. We'll see how oregon plays from here on out. We played very sloppy and still got it done.

Blount was out of control and should be suspended for multiple games. Boise player and stadium operations riling him and the crowd up was just as classless though. A few people (most notable Phil Steele) saw that Oregon only returned 3/9 linemen from last year and predicted a huge drop so it's not like this was that out of left field. Still an embarrassment for the Pac-10 however.

For us local fans it'll be very interesting to see how Chip Kelly does at Oregon (and Sark at UW). With USC being USC and UCLA on their way under Neuheisel/Chow it's clear that ASU and Arizona's long-term prospects would be much higher if the Northwest schools didn't have their hand in the SoCal cookie jar.

crazy. i wanna know what the boise player said and what the boise fan said that made him freak out like that 2 times. Interesting part of the whole thing is if you watch it again, his teammate who he punches was trying to help him, but after he gets punched you just see him wave his arms and shake his head like f you you're done to me. Oregon is going to have a looooooong season.

^At one point I was able to slow it down and it looked like the Boise guy was just saying "a** whooping?" referring to the comments Blount had made before the game. A lot of people speculated (since the BSU guy was a whitey) that maybe he used the N bomb but that doesnt seem to be the case.

According to a sports talk show in la which (who knows if it's even right) but he said something to the effect of "now you owe us two a$& whoopings"

Take it for what it's worth

no way he droped the N. he had six black teammates around him, and it's hard to be racist on a football team.

Just saw on ESPN that Blount is suspended for the whole season. Pac-10 shakeup now, time for ASU to step up.

Hout gets a week with coach pete after practice....Might be worse than a suspension for him.

maybe blount could apply for a "Punch-Shirt" and get the season back?
