The portal news continues, as the Oregon Ducks have lost true freshman edge rusher Tobi Haastrup to the transfer portal. On3 Sports' Hayes Fawcett was the latest to report the news.
Haastrup arrived to Eugene as a four-star and the No. 24 edge and No. 223 player overall in the 2025 class out of Mayde Creek High School in Houston, TX.
The 6-foot-4, 241-pounder, originally from London, England, totaled just one tackle during his lone season with the Ducks, as it came in Oregon's 69-3 blowout win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He utilized a redshirt, preserving his four seasons of eligibility.
Haastrup's departure comes on the same day that fellow defensive lineman Jericho Johnson, Ashton Porter, Blake Purchase and Xadavien Sims entered the portal, potentially due to the entire Oregon defensive line returning for next season.
Each of Bear Alexander, A'Mauri Washington, Matayo Uiagalelei and Teitum Tuioti will be back in 2026, with the latter three announcing the news on Sunday leading to a bevy of departures by their reserves.
The former four-star Haastrup will have four seasons of eligibility remaining.
