Spurs fans would celebrate like 1999, if a team takes Fox off their hands.

He's still good the issue they have is their 3 best guards, Castle, Harper and him are all not good 3 point shooters. They need at least one guard in the regular rotation who's a legit 3 point threat. Vassell is but he plays more 3 than 2

If you move Fox and get another shooter into the lineup look out.

Just have no idea how they're going to be able to move his contract as bad as he looked in the finals

Still surprised the Spurs choked. Good on NY taking advantage of it.

Also kind of crazy we gave up a little more for KD than the Knicks did for Mikal all in the name of winning a championship and New York succeeded while as choked. Who saw that happening? Best to play the long game when it comes to trades.

Both Castle and Harper will be 2-way demons from this experience going forward. Fox is better on bad teams where he can do whatever he wants.

Sure but he was always pretty good, career 47 percent overall 33 from 3. More than 2 to 1 A to TO. Even this year before the playoffs when healthy 49% 33 from 3 almost 3 to 1 A to TO. Still only 28 but Harper was so good in the playoffs there's just no world IMO where it makes sense to not start him and Castle next season.

I have no idea what happens to him just terrible timing on his part.

I’m not sure if this math checks out.

I’m not sure if this math checks out.

We gave up 2 young players, 4 1st round picks, and 2 1st round swaps. The Knicks gave up 5 1st round picks. The main contention is now you value the swaps and young players. New York gave all that up for Mikal alone as well so I guess you can knock the swaps off as well as Cam. It's tough to weigh overall. Ultimately New York has a championship and Mikal while the Suns are in cap hell without picks to leverage anything,

Well, we gave up Mikal, and the math of comparing those two trades, just including Mikal, blows it out of the water. We gave up value worth 10 first round picks and Cam Johnson.

And from the instant the trade happened we were worse off for it.

Womp womp.

I'm trying round down what New York paid for New York because his price was inflated since we sucked and that raise some of the picks value. Simply judging that firsf year of the deal and nothing done beyond that we paid a boatload with the theory it would help us move closer to winning a title. We moved further and for much worse. It also cost us our starting PG, C, and PF in addition to the financials we took on. It was horrific. There are no shortcuts in the NBA. You need to make a plan and follow it over a few years. Even in KD helped us win that does nothing for the continuity that you can't fake, see San Antonio, OKC, New York, Denver, and everyone who has tried. Talent alone doesn't help win in May or June. That's one of the reasons I'm so adamant against trading Booker. If wants out, fine, but moving him to move him doesn't help us. We need patience.
