The Matt Campbell era begins at Penn State in 99 days when the Nittany Lions play host to Marshall in the season opener at Beaver Stadium.

No. 99 in your program that day will be sophomore defensive end Yvan Kemajou, who will figure to push for playing time as a talented, yet still young, edge rusher. Kemajou emerged in the latter half of 2025, appearing in five games (including the Pinstripe Bowl) and compiling 13 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Penn State’s defensive end room was struck with injuries early last season, most notably the loss of Max Granville for the season. Kemajou saw the field for the first time against Ohio State and flashed in a night win against Nebraska, totaling four tackles and getting the first sack of his collegiate career.

Kemajou decided to stay in Happy Valley following the firing of James Franklin and the hiring of Campbell. The Maryland native was viewed as an under-the-radar four-star recruit who chose Penn State over Rutgers, Virginia Tech, and Duke.

Penn State will be on the field in 99 days and Kemajou will be looking to add to his highlight film.
