Olivia Culpo Shares Hilarious Video Of Christian McCaffrey Secretly Watching UFC Freedom 250 During Couple's Movie Night

Christian McCaffrey is coming off one of the most demanding seasons of his career. The San Francisco 49ers running back handled a career-high 413 touches in 2025, leading the NFL in that category while racking up 1,202 rushing yards, 924 receiving yards, and 17 total touchdowns. He played all 17 games and won Comeback Player of the Year.

Now in the offseason, McCaffrey is spending time with his family, but even a movie date with his wife, Olivia Culpo, couldn’t keep him away from one of the biggest fight cards in UFC history.

Olivia Culpo Recorded Christian McCaffrey Streaming UFC While Watching Movie

Culpo shared a video as a story on her Instagram account showing McCaffrey secretly streaming UFC Freedom 250 on his phone while the couple watched “The Devil Wears Prada 2” in a movie theater.

McCaffrey tucked his phone inside his cap to shield the screen from disturbing others in the theater, but Culpo noticed and recorded the moment. The video showed her captioning the clip with a simple “Ehemmmm…” as McCaffrey was spotted smiling, clearly aware that his wife had seen him.

McCaffrey’s decision was understandable because UFC Freedom 250, which was held on the South Lawn of the White House on June 14, was arguably the most anticipated fight card of the year.

Every fight on the seven-bout card ended by knockout, and the main event delivered one of the biggest upsets in recent memory as Justin Gaethje dethroned Ilia Topuria to claim the undisputed lightweight title.

The co-main event was equally dramatic, with Ciryl Gane finishing Alex Pereira in the second round to win the interim heavyweight championship. The undercard featured Sean O’Malley, Diego Lopes, Bo Nickal, and Mauricio Ruffy, all of whom finished their opponents. For a UFC fan like McCaffrey, the event was hard to pass up for watching a movie.

As for the football side, McCaffrey might not need to shoulder as heavy a burden in 2026 as he did last season. The 49ers overhauled their skill-position group this offseason, signing Mike Evans and Christian Kirk in free agency.

George Kittle is working his way back from a torn Achilles suffered during last season’s playoffs, and Ricky Pearsall returns after missing significant time with injuries last season.

San Francisco also drafted wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling in the second round and, perhaps most importantly for McCaffrey’s longevity, selected running back Kaelon Black out of Indiana with the 90th overall pick. Black should allow Kyle Shanahan to manage McCaffrey’s workload more carefully after the 29-year-old’s heavy usage campaign last year.

Hopefully, San Francisco’s star players will be able to stay healthy this year, as the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks will make it very hard for the 49ers to even make the playoffs.
