- New dad Christian McCaffrey opens up with PEOPLE about his "favorite" part of fatherhood after welcoming his daughter Colette with wife, Olivia Culpo, on Thursday, Feb. 5
- While he says that having Colette at his games is "the best thing on the planet," he's actually even more wowed by seeing Culpo as a mom
- McCaffrey and Culpo said "I do" in June 2024 and welcomed their first child together the following year
Christian McCaffrey is constantly wowed by his wife, Olivia Culpo.
The 29-year-old running back for the San Francisco 49ers exchanged vows with the 33-year-old model in June 2024. They became a family of three with the birth of their daughter, Colette Annalise McCaffrey, the following July.
McCaffrey caught up with PEOPLE’s Janine Rubenstein in San Francisco at the SiriusXM set at Media Row on Thursday, Feb. 5 and spoke about what it's been like adjusting to life as a dad.

He says that having his daughter at his games is "the best thing on the planet," explaining, "Good day, bad day, it didn't matter."
"You'd come home and just see her smile and get to hang out with her. It was the biggest blessing," he gushes.
Colette is shaping up to be one of his biggest fans. However, that's not his "favorite" thing about being a dad.
The NFL star tells PEOPLE that "seeing Olivia become a mom and how much she loves it," is "one of the coolest things ever." He praises Culpo for her dedication, saying that she "loves" motherhood and all that it entails.
"Every day is, you know, a constant reminder that I did well," McCaffrey says about his young family.
McCaffrey will have even more time with Culpo and Colette during the NFL's offseason. On top of "all the training," he says that he is looking forward to getting to "spend time with my daughter and my wife."
"We'll get away a couple times," he adds.

Although the 49ers didn't make it to Super Bowl LX, McCaffrey had a strong season and was one of three players awarded with the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year at NFL Honors on Wednesday, Feb. 4.
The other recipients this year were Drake Maye and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and this marks McCaffrey's second time winning the honor after he took it home in 2023.
"It was a huge honor to win," he tells PEOPLE, adding, "It's a 23-year award voted on by the fans, and it's been so cool to work with [FedEx]. They're giving $15,000 back to a Feeding America food bank here in San Francisco, so to be here with them is an honor."
