Say what you want about going 0-2 in Omaha, this Ole Miss Rebel team beat the odds making it there in the first place. While the pitching was always good enough, the amount of swing and miss in the offense was always a major concern.

This team will look quite different next season, but does that mean the offensive approach will change as well? Judd Utermark, Will Furniss, Tristan Bissetta and Collin Reuter are all out of eligibility while Hunter Elliott, Cade Townsend and Taylor Rabe are likely headed out in the MLB Draft.

The hottest hitter for Ole Miss in the postseason was Brayden Randle and he has announced he is hitting the portal. It is likely that a team has promised him the chance to play shortstop, or even middle infield, where he will be blocked by Owen Paino and Dom Decker again next season.

The 6’2” lefty played two seasons for LA Tech and finished the 2026 season batting .329 with 15 home runs and 47 RBI. He brings two years of experience with 24 home runs, 77 RBI and a .315 average. I’d say that plays.

Mavrick Rizy – RHP, LSU

Rizy is a 6’9” righty that has appeared in 44 games across two seasons for LSU. He has 57 strikeouts across 46 innings pitched but sports a 4.50 ERA and 38 walks. He has not made a start in college, so it is likely he’s an added bullpen piece.

Charlie Wilcox – RHP, Georgia Tech

Wilcox is coming off a tough freshman season for one of the best teams in the country in 2026. He appeared in 11 games and finished with a 9.64 ERA across 14 innings with 13 strikeouts to nine walks. His raw stuff is good, he just needs to figure out how to put it together.
