A Tulsa Little League softball team is under scrutiny after being accused of violating league rules, per reports.
According to Softball On SI, Texas District 27's Industrial Little League filed a formal protest on Saturday, July 18, during the Southwest Region Tournament against Tulsa National Little League regarding a violation of Little League rules on residency and boundary compliance, tournament eligibility and minimum games scheduled. This comes just a year after Tulsa National Little League found itself in the middle of eligibility allegations in the 2025 Little League World Series.
The complaint states that the Tulsa team has six players on its roster who allegedly do not meet residency or school attendance criteria, in addition to not participating in regular-season play, the outlet reported. The complaint also claims that Tulsa entered the tournament as a nearly intact travel team. The Little League Regulation states, “Teams are not permitted to enter the Little League program intact, or nearly intact, from non-Little League programs.”
According to the complaint, one of the new additions to the roster allegedly does not reside in Oklahoma.
The Oklahoman reached out to representatives from Texas District 27's Industrial Little League and Tulsa National Little League but has not received a response.
Little League postseason eligibility requires players to participate in at least eight regular-season games unless exempted. Teams must also play a 12-game regular-season schedule, which the complaint alleges Tulsa failed to do.
Tulsa Little League Baseball has also been involved in controversies. Tulsa County filed a lawsuit against Tulsa Little League Baseball Inc on March 6 of this year, claiming that the organization owes $45,685.16 in electricity costs, $14,100.77 for water and sewage services and $53,545.84 in interest over the past decade. The trial is scheduled to start on Aug. 4.
The complaint filed last week on the softball eligibility case does not mention the lawsuit.
