OG Anunoby delivered one of the most iconic moments in the New York Knicks history with his game-winning tip-in with 1.2 seconds left in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. Those two points gave the Knicks a 107-106 victory, putting them up 3-1 in the series.

After Game 4 in Madison Square Garden, Anunoby revealed that several of his old Toronto Raptors teammates congratulated him on the most defining moment of his career. While he didn't reveal any specific names, he acknowledged hearing from the Raptors' championship core.

"My Raptors teammates that I used to play with in the past, they hit me up. They were really excited for me, happy for me."

From missing NBA Finals with the Raptors to biggest tip-in of Knicks history, OG Anunoby has come a long way

OG Anunoby played for the Raptors for six and a half seasons from 2017 to December 2023. After being drafted 23rd overall, Anunoby was a key rotational piece for the franchise off the bench. There, he quickly established himself as an elite two-way player.

The Raptors went to the 2019 NBA Finals, but unfortunately, the star forward missed the entire series due to an emergency appendectomy. He played alongside star players like Kyle Lowry, Kawhi Leonard and Pascal Siakam before being traded to the Knicks.

Appearing in his first NBA Finals, Anunoby is leaving no stone unturned, giving his all and earning MVP chants along the way already.
