NY Mets announce lineup vs Washington Nationals for Friday game

NEW YORK — Last time the Mets were at home, they lost three straight to the Marlins as the trade deadline loomed.

Now, with a new-look bullpen, the Mets are returning home off a 6-3 road trip despite losing their last two to the Braves.

The Mets now welcome the Nationals for the first of three games at 7:10 p.m. on Friday night at Citi Field.

The Mets saw a comeback fall short on Wednesday despite home runs from Luis Torrens, Luis Robert Jr. and Bo Bichette.

The Mets are 53-69, while the Nats (60-63) have slipped five games back of the Phillies for the final NL Wild Card spot.

NY Mets, Nationals probable starting pitchers for Friday​

Robert Stock will be getting another crack in the starting rotation on the heels of a rough outing.

The right-hander allowed eight earned runs on nine hits and five walks in three innings against the Pirates last time out.

Andrew Alvarez will be making his 10th start and 18th appearance for the Nationals.

The left-hander enters with a 2-3 record, 3.76 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. He held the Reds to one earned run in 5⅓ innings.
