NY Mets announce lineup vs Cleveland Guardians for Wednesday game

CLEVELAND — The new-look Mets made a strong first impression in their first game after the trade deadline on Tuesday night.

Luis Torrens drove in four runs, Sean Manaea notched a quality start and Nate Lavender and Kodai Senga excelled in new bullpen roles.

Now, the Mets will aim for the series win at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday night at Progressive Field.

It would be the Mets' second series win in their last three. They enter the day with a 48-66 record.

NY Mets, Guardians probable pitchers for Wednesday​

Christian Scott will be on the mound for the Mets on the heels of a hard-luck loss to the Braves last time around.

Scott dropped to 3-3 despite allowing only one earned run on five hits and one walk in six innings in a 1-0 defeat.

Scott lowered his ERA to 2.99 and enters with 85 strikeouts in 69⅓ innings.

Tanner Bibee will make the start for the Guardians. The 27-year-old right-hander is 4-11 with a 3.81 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 23 starts.
