Ben Stiller has already picked a side for the 2026 Western Conference Finals, and it is not the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The longtime New York Knicks superfan made his preference clear after the San Antonio Spurs set up a Western finals clash with OKC.

Stiller may be attached to the Knicks first, but with the Western Conference down to two teams, he is backing Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs.

Ben Stiller chooses the San Antonio Spurs over the OKC Thunder in the WCF

As Ben Stiller wrote on X, his Western Conference Finals rooting interest is with San Antonio.

“I will be rooting for San Antonio [Spurs] in the WCF,” Stiller tweeted.

The comment came after the Spurs punched their ticket to the conference finals with a dominant 139-109 Game 6 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

San Antonio won that series 4-2, with Stephon Castle leading the closeout victory with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Victor Wembanyama added 19 points as the Spurs moved one step closer to the NBA Finals.

That result confirmed a blockbuster Western Conference Finals matchup between the Spurs and the Thunder. Oklahoma City had already advanced after sweeping LeBron James and the LA Lakers in the second round.

Spurs-Thunder gives Knicks superfan a West favorite

Stiller’s Knicks fandom is well known, so his Spurs support naturally stood out. The Knicks are still his team, but with the Western side of the bracket now down to San Antonio and Oklahoma City, he did not hide where his neutral support is going.

The Thunder enter the series unbeaten in the postseason after sweeping both the Phoenix Suns and Lakers, while San Antonio arrives after surviving a tougher six-game series against Minnesota.

OKC’s Game 4 win over the Lakers was a 115-110 victory, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scoring 35 points and adding eight assists to complete the sweep.

That sets up a fascinating contrast. The Thunder look like the defending champion trying to stay perfect, while the Spurs look like the young challenger built around Wembanyama’s rise.

For Stiller, the choice is simple. The Knicks superfan will be watching the Western Conference Finals with San Antonio as his pick.
