Notre Dame opened up spring practices on Friday and there was a new name that garnered a lot of buzz.
Mylan Graham transferred to Notre Dame from Ohio State this offseason, and it was some of his off-the-field comments that got some attention. Reports and scouting evaluations dating back to his portal commitment have consistently highlighted his smooth route running, advanced releases and strong ball skills, and early practice feedback indicates those traits are translating in South Bend.
Graham arrived from Ohio State as a former five-star prospect and has every opportunity take on a a meaningful role for the Irish. His frame, burst out of breaks and ability to win one‑on‑one matchups on the perimeter have been recurring themes in evaluations, and observers have pointed to his natural hands and body control as reasons he could become a trusted target on critical downs.
Practice notes (sub required) from Friday emphasize the energy that Graham has been bringing to drills and an acrobatic catch he was able to make. It seems to be the consensus that he has the potential to be a "difference-maker."
With Notre Dame looking to retool its receiver rotation and create more explosive plays through the air, Graham’s strong opening impression has positioned him as one of the headline stories of spring, and his progression will be closely tracked as the Irish move toward the 2026 season.

Ohio State transfer WR Mylan Graham worked in the slot today. Look for him to play all over the field this season.
