There was an article somewhere that Patriots were going after him. Glad to know he choose us instead of Pats.

Be tremendously shocked if he makes the team.

Cameron Wake was a beast for the Dolphins, maybe Baggs can be a beast for us. :D

The article above said they went after Cameron Wake last year but he signed with Miami. You do know the reason that Joey Porters snap numbers were down was because Wake had a pretty decent year as a situational pass rush (19 tackles, 4 assists, 5.5 sacks, 1 FF). If this guy can do anything like what Wake did last year for Miami, hell definetly make the roster.

FWIW, Wake's numbers pretty much doubled Baggs'. Expecting him to come in and play like Wake would be a huge mistake IMO.

Not entirely. Two different positions. Wake played OLB while for the CFL where Baggs was a DE. Depending on the blitz schemes he was on in the CFL is where he was getting back to the QB.

EDIT: And it wasn't what I expect him to do. I just said he probably makes the roster lol.

FWIW, I don't care what position either played. Their jobs were to get to the QB and Wake did it 27 more times than Baggs over the last two years.

btw--Baggs seems to have played standing up as good bit of the time. None of the videos I've seen of him show the guy starting with his hand in the dirt.

Again man, I'm not saying we got the next hottest pass rusher on the market but I do think on a team depleated at OLB, he makes the team lol. That's my only point.

1) Cameron Wake played DE for the BC Lions

2) Baggs is not quite as good, but will surprise.

I've seen him play "live" a number of times against my "Alouettes de Montréal", and he was constantly in our backfield. If not for the fact that our QB (no. 13, Anthony Calvillo) is the Kurt Warner of the CFL, he would have had several sacks in each of those games.

Thanks for the info! It's great the Cardinals are making moves.

Should we pursue Calvillo, CC?

yeah, being from Canada as well, I remember him in the playoffs and a few other regular season games. He is a strong player, he did get into the backfield against the Ti-Cats, with some work and training he could be good

Is our LB corp that bad that people are excited about signing a CFL player? I guess it is. To steal Mulli's trademark;

championship: :D.
