I don't see how anyone can question Palmer's play this year. He's top 5 in about every QB stat available and is playing as well and any QB not named Rodgers.

I, for one, think Brown should have made that catch on the sidelines. It was high but NFL receivers make that catch. On the next pass, CP missed it. That happens.

Why would they be thinking FG when they were at midfield with an entire 2 minutes left? Running out the clock shouldn't have been a factor until they were already well inside FG range. This isn't me saying that the run shouldn't have been a consideration, but only that it shouldn't have been used with the idea of burning clock. At least not quite then anyways.

In my way of thinking we still had 3 time outs and I had soooo much confidence that after we ran for the first down BA was going to make one of those super clutch play calls that nets us about 20 yds or more.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt pretty confident that we would get into FG range, maybe even chip shot range. So it wasn't a matter of will we get into FG range but how much time would be left on the clock.

I think if the Cards had run the ball twice there and been stuffed both times, people would be complaining about why BA didn't take a shot throwing it.

Either way, it's done. We're on to Detroit.

I was confident they would as well, but it's still smart to wait to burn clock until you are actually in comfortable FG range. If they would have gotten into FG range I would have been confident that they could have then gotten a first after making StL burn all there timeouts as well, but they needed to get down there first.

Ah, Jaron Brown, the WR with highlight reel catches at non-critical points in the game. He is who he is, and he should have brought that down :(
