FSU gained a commitment but also lost one on Sunday, as the Seminoles added three-star defensive lineman Eric Vaulx Jr. while four-star defensive back Mekhi Williams, the former highest-rated player in FSU’s 2027 class, announced his decommitment:

Baseball
Cue up the Bee Gees because FSU is stayin’ alive, at least for one more day, after winning two games on Sunday to advance to the Tallahassee Regional final. The Seminoles finished out a rain-delayed 2-1 win over Coastal Carolina before beating Northern Illinois in extra innings, buoyed by a Ben Barrett 10th-inning two-run blast:

FSU men’s golf is competing at the NCAA Championships, with Jack Whaley tied for 13th:
In the second round, Whaley carded a round of 4-under, 68, which was the third-lowest round in the field on Saturday.
Starting on the 10th hole in the afternoon wave, Whaley made birdie to open the round. After giving it back on the 12th hole, Whaley found momentum on the 15th, carding three birdies in-a-row to move to 3-under.
Whaley shot nine consecutive pars before closing the round with a birdie on the ninth, moving up 22 spots on the leaderboard. He enters the final round tied for 13th place at 4-under, 140.
Jack Bigham finished the round even, 72, carding four birdies, while Carson Brewer finished the day three-over, 75.
After a tough start on the front nine, Patrick McCann bounced back and finished the back nine 1-under. McCann made a birdie on the sixth, and finished with another on the ninth.
The Seminoles will play in the third round on Sunday at 4:40 p.m. ET from the first hole. FSU shot 4-over, 292 on Saturday and is 23-over, 599 for the tournament.
The top 15 teams after the third round will advance to the final round of stroke play on Monday. The top eight teams will advance to match play, beginning June 2.
Florida State men’s outdoor track and field saw six more student-athletes qualify for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Friday, while the Florida State women’s track and field team concluded the NCAA East Regional First Round on Saturday, with Kayla Pinkard punching a ticket to the NCAA Outdoor National Championship in the triple jump:
Kyvon Tatham, Neo Mosebi, Durian Moss, Zach Extine, Shamar Reid and Andre Korbmacher will represent Florida State on the big stage.
Reid was crowned the east regional champion in the men’s discus throw, qualifying for his first NCAA Division I National Championship after being victorious with a mark of 64.22 meters. Redi becomes FSU’s first qualifier in the event since Milton Ingraham in 2023.
The pair of Mosebi and Moss qualified in the 100. Moss punched his first ever individual ticket after placing fifth with a new personal best and the ninth-fastest time in program history at 10.03. Mosebi returns to the big stage with the 11th-fastest time at 10.12.
Korbmacher and Extine earned bids to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships after strong performances in the men’s 110-meter hurdles. Korbmacher qualified for his first NCAA Outdoor Championship, placing ninth with a time of 13.44 seconds. Extine, who was the NCAA Outdoor Championship runner-up in the event last season, secured his second consecutive national championship berth by finishing 11th with a time of 13.46.
Tatham advanced to the Outdoor National Championship for the third straight year in the men’s triple jump. The senior finished in 11th with a mark of 15.83 meters.
Kaden Levings wrapped up his junior season in the men’s 3,000 steeplechase, placing 17th with a new personal best and remaining at fourth all-time in FSU history at 8:45.24.
Pinkard punched her second consecutive ticket after being runner-up in the women’s triple jump, increasing her personal-best with the fourth-farthest jump in program history at 13.66 meters.
The women’s 4×100-meter relay behind Lucy May Sleeman, Shenese Walker, Liana Tyson and Micayah Holland started off competition on the track with the sixth-fastest qualifying time of 42.96, tying their season best that was set at the ACC Outdoor Championships two weeks ago.
Walker secured her individual ticket for the third straight year by winning the first heat of the 100 meters in with a time of 10.88. Sleeman wrapped up her individual season in the event, finishing 20th overall after recording a season-best time of 11.26.
Between the men’s and women’s teams, Florida State is set to have 15 entries at the NCAA Outdoor National Championship at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, on June 10-13.
