After a 2-10 season, Purdue Boilermakers football fans know it's only up from here for head coach Barry Odom in his second season. The Big Ten is a tough conference. The first goal is breaking the 18-game conference losing streak.

Maybe Nike's latest release will bring the team some good luck. The brand is starting the college football season with the release of these college football-themed Vomero 18 running shoes, which includes Purdue as one of the featured schools.

Purdue University Nike Vomero 18 running shoes​

The Purdue running shoes feature a nearly all-black design with Purdue's gold woven into the sole and heel. The small banner across the toe says "Boiler Up" for a tighter connection to the Boilermaker fans.

When is the first Purdue football game?​

Purdue will start the season with back-to-back home games at Ross Ade Stadium. The Boilermakers season starts slightly earlier than everyone else with kick off coming on Friday, Sept. 4 against Indiana State.
