Christmas Day used to be all about the NBA. The NFL got the idea to steal the thunder from basketball and will continue to do so in 2025.
While the holiday is all about families, this year in the NFL it will feature division rivals.
The first game will pit the Dallas Cowboys against the Washington Commanders in an NFC East clash. On top of the rivalry that has built between the teams for decades, add in Washington coach Dan Quinn was the defensive coordinator in Dallas before moving to the nation's capital.
The nightcap will feature NFC North squads. The reigning division champion Detroit Lions travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings. In 2024, the Vikings went 14-3 in the regular season with two of the losses coming to the Lions. They also lost twice to the Los Angeles Rams with one defeat coming in the playoffs.
Both games will be streamed on Netflix.
