Coaching threads are always so much fun. "Gimme that guy that sucked so bad he just got canned by that other team. He won't suck here."
I think you see that both options can work. Andy Reid was a retread. Payton was a retread. Vrabel retread. Harbaugh retread. But plenty of 1st time guys can work as well.

I wouldn't mind LaFleur, Josh McDaniels, or Matt Nagy.

Anyone who can bring the Callahan's with them as OC and OL coach are a good starting point. Bill Callahan is one of the best OL coaches in the NFL and likely out of the HC/OC mix by now.

You say that, but then he flirted around with Michigan, even though he was never offered the job; and now ASU cant offer him anything more as they're tapped out. He's one more phone call from the NFL or a blue blood school from leaving.
Ok bud. That basically takes into account you believe zero of what he had to say about being loyal to his program and ASU in general. I guess if you're calling the guy a liar, then yeah, sure...

I'm going to throw out a couple of names no one is mentioning but may be just what this team needs. I really don't want retreads as our new HC.

Todd Monken OC Ravens Scheme: Vertical pass game from heavy formations Word is he adapts his offensive schemes to the personnel he has to work with.

Davis Webb Broncos pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Scheme: Payton West Coast Word is he is earning the title of “QB whisperer” If we start anew at QB, he may be the guy you want molding your young QB.
Monken would be interesting. Not sure on Davis Webb, since he doesn't have any play calling experience, that I'm aware of. I think Sean is calling plays in Denver and obviously creates the scheme.

He won one Superbowl with Cowher's guys. Since then he has not done anything. Sure, he is good regular season coach but with this ownership? He will underachieve even more. No thanks.
When it comes to Tomlin, listen to Stout and I. Stay as far away from this guy as possible. We need an offensive minded HC this time around & Tomlin is an offense killer.

I live in Raven’s country. They despise Monken & are begging to see him get canned. I watch the Ravens every week. Without Henry, their offense SUCKS. No thank you on Monken.

Dude has had some great OCs work with him, though...Arians, Haley, Smith and others. All have had success...even have made some average QBs look respectable.

I think Daboll checks a lot of boxes. What does Bidwill want to see happen asap? We drafted a supposed generational WR in MHJ & he’s been pretty much a bust. Daboll did everything possible to get the ball to Nabers, while we did the exact opposite with Marvin. Bring in a guy who can develop MHJ. This franchise has to do everything possible to figure out what they may or may not have in MHJ. And while he’s at it, let him work with Kyler too. Even at 3, there are no college QB’s outside of Mendoza that will help this team at any point in time. And the FA QB’s are not a solution.

If we're going with coordinators with no HC experience, Kubiak is the one I'd like to see hired. As bad as I hate the "Shehawks" he will raid their staff if hired & their organazation is miles ahead of the Cardinals right now & have been for years. I'd love to have a defense like theirs.
