What to do at Safety? I don’t see them chasing Thompson unless they trade Baker(makes no sense to cut him). DTD almost certainly starts. They’d preferably like to pair him with a vet, so bringing back Thompson should work and be affordable if Baker’s traded.

Slight disagreement. The next big decision is which line are they going to address. FA is much better in terms of OL talent vs DL but the Cardinals have a lot more of Monti’s young guys on the OL. I don’t believe they are going to spend enough to get both to league average.

Next big decision is QB whether it is riding with Jacoby, chasing Malik, drafting Simpson, signing Geno, etcetera. With a new offensive coach, you would hope that the offense is better than it has been since Kliff left.

I think the QB decision is already made...we just don't know what it is, yet.

If they can fix the OL to league average or better and add Love at three I think JB can win a nice handful of games, maybe 7-8. Then draft QBOF in ‘27 draft, trading up to get who they think best.

No offense but Jacoby hasn’t won seven games as a starter since 2019.

Since then he’s been 8-25.

I agree with the sentiment on the lines. I’d love to see us focus on improving the O line in free agency as I think it takes a few years before a rookie can have a big impact. If we can do that, it takes a lot of pressure off the draft. On the D line, if the reports about Nolan being ready for camp are true I feel a lot better there. Drafting Bailey at three and bringing back Campbell and Collier would give us a solid foundation.

CC will be 40 opening weekend and played the lowest snap count of his career as just over 40%. That is very low for a starter. Father time will catch up sooner than later, even with load management.

I wouldn't depend on him as a starter but he can still be effective playing 20% of the snaps as a rotational guy. You need 8-10 guys on the d-line and even with Nolan we have 6 right now

I want Malik Willis on a contract that we can get out of after year 2 if it doesn’t work out.

I want a starting RT and an OG or 2 signed.

I’m good with Love or RT or pass rusher at 3 maybe small move back but not far.

I would love to move up into the first to draft Ty Simpson.

I’ve been patient and supported this team for far too long. I need to see they are willing to do what needs to be done to compete.

Then hes not moving the needle for us and he is taking snaps away from someone's development. CC should sign with a SB contender if that is all hes playing.

Willis is the only one that moves the needle in terms of buzz, but signing him is really, really rolling the dice.

I’m not sure what we’ve got to lose though other than a little cap space.

Kyler should be our qb, since we already paying him, Michael Carter was our leading rusher with 333 yards - I don’t blame km or Brisette

Yes, but he also hasn't started for a complete season in most of those years.
Yes because he’s been so bad that he’s been benched for a higher-variance option. He had 11 starts in ‘22 and went 4-7. He had five starts in ‘24 for New England and went 1-4.

He had 12 starts for us last year and went 1-11. He’s a loser.

RG and RT should be priorities. It starts upfront.

Agreed. We had a plan. It failed, time to pivot and be more aggressive.

Monti has jacked up DL so badly they have to attack it in FA and in the draft. FFS. OL must be fixed, and should be done in FA without relying on the draft, but then they can take advantage of the deep OT pool in the draft. Yeah, S is far down the list.

Do they need to draft for it? Or at least make it a draft priority?

They have Robinson, Nolen, and Stills. If they bring Collier back you just need a couple midrange free agents and camp fodder.

Monti is so dumb. Turns out Khyiris Tonga and Roy Lopez can play but were leveraged Bilal Nichols and Justin Jones.
