Mavs' Anthony Davis out months for hand surgery, sources say
Anthony Davis is expected to have surgery to repair ligament damage in his left hand and miss the next several months, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
It almost feels like making a splash trade at the deadline in getting Green back from injury. Possibly the 2nd best player on the roster and we have done everything we have done without him. We're about to add the leading scorer for the #2 seed last season. I can't wait to see how Ott orchestrates the line-ups. He's been a maestro thus far.

Regarding NBACentel:
Yeah, that's the idea. They're meant to be funny.
Anthony Davis is likely to have hand surgery but teams are still interested.

It came out later that he is NOT having hand surgery, so that is wrong, but he will be out at least 6 weeks.
I also think the notion that anyone wants him is wildly incorrect.
It will take an extremely specific circumstance for him to be tradable, and if the Mavs want anything in return they will have to take on a lot of ugly salary.
There is no scenario where a team trades real value for him right now.
