The New York Giants open the John Harbaugh era on Saturday afternoon when they host the Minnesota Vikings in their preseason opener at MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET, and the game will air locally on NBC 4.

\n
Harbaugh takes the sideline for the first time in New York after his long tenure in Baltimore. The young Giants roster, led by quarterback Jaxson Dart, will get its first live game action of the summer under the new coaching staff. Across the field, the Vikings will feature newly named starter Kyler Murray after he won the quarterback competition over J.J. McCarthy.

\n
Both clubs will evaluate depth, rookies, and roster hopefuls as the preseason begins in earnest. Follow along for live updates, key plays, and analysis throughout the afternoon.

Starters expected to play

\n
ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports that the Giants are expected to play quarterback Jaxson Dart and most of their starters against the Vikings.

\n
“The expectation is that quarterback Jaxson Dart and most of the Giants’ starters will play against the Vikings, according to multiple sources,” Raanan said. “That makes sense considering Harbaugh said earlier this week that he values game experience in the preseason, and Dart doesn’t have a lot of game experience.”

\n
How many snaps they take remains to be seen.

\n

Giants injuries

\n
The Giants have ruled out wide receivers Malik Nabers (knee) and Jalin Hyatt (leg/ankle). Cornerback Paulson Adebo (hamstring) is a game-time decision.
