After participating in the team's first two days of training camp, New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers got a well-deserved planned day off on Friday.

"No Malik Nabers today," SNY's Connor Hughes reported on social media during Friday's workout. "He wasn’t doing anything after doing individual drills the first two days. This was part of the 'plan' I’m told, per sources. Remember: Giants said they were going to push him, see how he reacts, then push him again. Don’t worry about this."

Nabers, of course, is coming off surgeries to repair a torn ACL and meniscus suffered last October. He looked fluid during the Giants' first two workouts at camp this week, but the team is intent on bringing him back slowly this summer.

Nabers has looked much better than most expected at this stage. He avoided starting camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, which was an indicator that the Giants feel he can be integrated slowly back into the fold this summer and hopefully be ready for Week 1 of the regular season. He is well on his way, but will continue to be managed.

I genuinely don’t need to see any more clips of Malik Nabers to move him up to WR7/8 for 2026.
-Sharp cutting & push off of Right leg
-Very comfortable decelerating, sticking right foot into the ground, re-accelerating
-Smooth & fast in quick bursts + COD
