He should get the best.

But yadiyadiyadi. Start the season already and let's see if coach Ott has got anything with this team.

I planned on giving football/soccer a try, but realised it is not that fun, so I will try to see some NFL, but what I long for is Suns basketball.

The guy makes billions of dollars selling the Suns. Everyone thought he ran it into the ground, but he came out smelling like a rose! ;)
Nah. He still stinks. But now he's floating in an ocean of money.

OK, Robert. I get what Ishbia means. They are trying to create a new philosophy, style of play. They are getting younger, bigger, and more athletic, like many other successful teams in the league. It's a lot of change. Basically the opposite of what they were doing. The successful season my not be in wins, but if they successfully transition to the type of program they want to be, and it sticks for a full season.

I was with the author until this:

“Outside of the 23-year-old Green, the Suns aren't a young team by any means.“

Green
Maluach
Dunn
Oso
Fleming
Kobe
Even mark Williams is 23

Yeah, there are plenty of things to knock the team on, but youth ain't one. Booker is still only 28 and he is one of the oldest rotation players.

Even Allen, who puts the Gray in Grayson, is only 29. I suppose flagrant fouls are a sign of graying hair... just look at Dreymond.

A bunch of rich people suing each other because they want to be more rich.

The Suns crime was stupidity... but, stupidity isn't a crime.

Yeah, I can't argue with Mat here.

I think the offense is going to be the main problem. They've clearly made a focus on grinding, hustling players. But Booker and, maybe, Allen, are the only players who have a history of positive results on offense.

By sheer effort and the Suns hopefully fixing the center position, the Suns should be a better defensive team.

Of course, the Suns can't turn the ball over on offense.

Just adding Dillon Brooks should make them tons better on D.

The question is what kind of D will we get out of Book and Green? Green has all the tools to play great D and has shown flashes.

Green isn't lazy on D. It'll be interesting to see if he's the guy tasked with opposing PG's most often because he has the speed but not the smarts to lock them up.

Book will play as long as his teammates are playing. He won't be great but average is reasonable to expect.

Yeah, but Simmons never said this. It was from a Ringer article. I heard an AZ Sports snippet the other day where Simmons responded and said as much. But then he goes on to say his only Suns prediction is the under on winning 31.5 games. So, he didn't say they were going to have the worst defense just that they're not going to win many games.

Here is said article:

24 Increasingly Bold Predictions for the 2025-26 NBA Season

From a reasonable title prediction and MVP pick to an unthinkable trade and a Bucks blow-up, here are two dozen takes that will certainly age well

Michael Pina is the idiot that hasn't been paying attention to the Suns new identity.

Ishbia said it was "Simmons and his crew" that spoke negatively about the Suns. I can't blame him for trying to drum up some positivity. Obviously going straight at Simmons is smarter than a Simmons employee also.

Yeah, that's a good point. And makes Simmons look worse since he's shirking any responsibility for it.
