I still can't get enough of this, it's something that I expect we will bring up repeatedly over the coming decade of failure.

This is a classic "purge the generals!" move from an ignorant despot who is running his country into the ground.

No matter how you view the situation midway through the 22/23 season, to go from where we were then to where we are now requires some unbelievably terrible leadership.
That memo is as out of touch as anything I’ve ever seen in the NBA as far as owners are concerned, rivaling, ironically enough, Ish’s idiotic arch-nemesis Dan Gilbert who vowed the Cavs would win a title before LeBron would after the decision.

This is Jerry Jones level of delusion.

How ironic....

Years ago I imposed a filter here that the word "s h I t" censors into "ish" and now it has come into fruition. Sorry guys. :(

Oof.

Talk about planning ahead.

I’m waiting for the Ish rant where he defends himself over what he said and that it was taken out of context.

I’ve never heard of Mark Deeks. Odd story without many specifics.
Yeah lots of maybes but not a damned fact in sight. We don't know who started this rumor but it makes you wonder if the Cleveland owner is as petty as our owner is in their relationship. Not that I'd be shocked to learn there's truth to the story, it's just not the kind of tale that usually gets told without solid research behind it.

Whether the story is true or not, the Suns have made moves to get under the second tax apron such as trading Jusuf Nurkic for players that could be released this off season.

Also, I was curious the Suns didn't add another center after trading for Nick Richards, which was said to be only a temporary fix.

Then there is the conservative hires of Brian Gregory and Jordan Ott. Also, James Jones contract is soon to expire.

The Suns have been mirrored in financial drama since Jerry sold the team. I’ll never get over Kurt Thomas. We could’ve easily traded that same package for Mike Miller or Rashard Lewis. Same with those 4-5 drafts in a row during a time when we had inadequate depth. Now we’ve overspent ourselves into purgatory with no assets or escape plan. Life as a Suns fan is for the weak stomached.

right? but he is $80 million in the hole just on head coaches in just the last 3 years - book kd and beal get paid what? $150 million a year every year? our total payroll last season was $219 million so we'll just go with that - let's just round it to $200 million a year for the last 3 years

head coaches and payroll alone cost ish roughly $680 million in just a few years - and let's not forget he spent $4 billion to aquire the suns/mercury in 2022 - he's built new facilities - completely rebuilt the mercury line up

none of this accounts for back of the house hires - ceo - whatever jj is now - whatever gregory is now - all other staff - and let's not forget the building who's name we won't mention because it doesn't have one - because nobody wants to be associated with the ishigan suns

i think he's already over the $5 billion mark he never expected to be- i hope he is broke because we need a owner mulligan - again

Bull crap. We wouldn't have interviewed 15 candidates for head coach if nobody wants to be associated with the Suns. And that nickname is going to get old really fast.

Sadly, the trades for Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal dwarfs the bad Kurt Thomas trade under Robert Sarver.

I don't know if it's true or not, but there were rumors that some latter interviews for the Suns head coach were turning down the job.

can the coaching candidates afford to sponsor a building tho? i think not

let me clarify

people showing up for job interviews that don't come around often and pay millions of dollars isn't the same as paying millions of dollars to put your name on the ishigan state building

you can be mad at me and play the apologish but the only thing getting old fast is matt ishbia's tired attempt at outsmarting and out spending the nba
