Commanders fans, on Thursday, the "Take Command" podcast began as another boring mock draft, but became so much more.

Host Craig Hoffman and guest Jeremy Greene led a very entertaining podcast episode, which very early saw Hoffman and Greene strongly disagree on Tennessee edge defender James Pearce Jr. If you don't want to sit through their mock draft, the disagreement itself is well worth watching the first 15 minutes of the episode. Both remained civil and respectful to one another, while both were determined to counter with their opinion on Pearce.

In summary, while Hoffman was altogether confident Dan Quinn and Adam Peters will not want anything to do with Pearce, Greene countered saying that if Pearce is available at 29 when the Commanders are on the clock, "I'm just telling you, if you let this kid go to Philadelphia, don't be shocked when three years from now you are going, 'How did we do this?'"

Hoffman countered that perhaps if led in the right direction and placed into the right team environment, Pearce would work out well for the Commanders. He then pointed to LT Laremy Tunsil by way of comparison, expressing the Commanders' believe their team will be good for Tunsil.

Greene concluded that he would never deny that Pearce might be entitled. Green pointed out how college football has undergone drastic changes in the last five years, with the substantial amount of money now being offered and paid out to players. Greene did convey, however, that he would like to see the same guy who coached Micah Parsons (Dan Quinn) now get the opportunity to coach and influence James Pearce.

Instead of a boring mock draft simply making picks, Greene talked Hoffman into the Commanders trading back twice, picking up extra picks, then trading up to get back to 39 and then selecting Boston College EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku.

Guaranteed, this is the most entertaining and informative mock draft for a Commanders fan that you will watch all of this draft season.
