Brooklyn Nets rookie Ben Saraf logged his 12th appearance in the G League on Monday, finishing in double figures during a home loss to the Stockton Kings.
Saraf produced 15 points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal in the 118-112 loss at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. He went 6-of-14 from the field, including 1-of-3 from 3-point range, in 23 minutes, 48 seconds of action.
The 26th pick returned to game action on Monday after dealing with a knee injury last week. He generated paint touches for the group and looked to play in control by setting up his teammates for easy looks and creating for himself.
Saraf has played sporadically with Brooklyn, averaging 5.4 points, 2.8 assists and 1.6 rebounds on 35.5% shooting from the field in 12 appearances. He has scored in double figures twice, including a 12-point outing on Dec. 4 in a loss to the Utah Jazz.
The 19-year-old is averaging 13.8 points, 4.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals on 38.7% shooting from 3-point range with Long Island. He erupted for 40 points, six rebounds and four assists on Dec. 22 in a win over the OKC Blue.
Saraf has spent much of the season with Long Island and will likely continue to see minutes there as part of his development plan. The organization was ecstatic to have the chance to draft him and will be eager to watch his continued development in the NBA and the G League.
