NEOSHO, Mo. — Neosho led Glendale 20-16 after the opening period Wednesday night in a Central Ozark Conference matchup at Neosho High School.
The Wildcats used three 3-pointers and eight points from Zach Forsythe to grab the early lead.
But Glendale sparked things up on offense and wound up pulling away for a 75-60 win over Neosho.
Neosho (13-4) was led by Houston Branscum with 18 points on six 3-pointers. Kaiden Asberry added 17 and four treys. Forsythe finished with 15 points.
Branscum and Forsythe were held scoreless in the final frame as the team struggled to just 9 fourth-quarter points.
Glendale (10-5) had five players score and four finished in double figures. Sylijah Davis led the Falcons with 24 points. Jacan Seats added 17. Joelle Rover and Markell Houston both tallied 15 in the game.
Glendale notched 23 second-quarter points and took a 39-32 lead into halftime. Neosho played neck-and-neck with the Falcons in the third stanza and trailed 59-51 entering the final quarter of play.
Neosho will be back in action Friday at Kickapoo (12-5) for a 7:30 p.m. varsity tipoff.
