NEOSHO, MO. — The Joplin Eagles took the trip down to Neosho to play the Wildcats.
After a couple of turnovers, both teams locked in on offense. Houston Branscum weaved in and out of defenders, laying the ball in for two and opening up the scoring game.
Joplin wasn’t going to allow the hosts to have back-to-back buckets as Fred Taylor stole the ball and sent it down the court to T.J. Willis, getting the and one to drop.
Neosho had solid ball movement around the perimeter as Fort Scott Community College commit Kaiden Asberry drained a three, tieing things up 5-5.

The Eagles immediately responded with a pair of threes of their own from Trenton McCadney and Brecken Green.
The visitors started to get a groove on offense, so the hosts called a timeout to try and slow down Joplin.
Right out of the break, Neosho scored first with the layup by Zach Forsythe.
Neosho boys basketball edged out Joplin 60-57.
