Nebraska added a commitment to the class of 2027 on Friday evening as three-star wide receiver Kayden Howard committed to the program. Howard is the No. 49-ranked overall athlete in the 2027 class, and the No. 92-ranked overall player in his class from the state of Florida, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Howard also received offers from Minnesota, UCF, and Louisville. One major aspect of Howard’s game is his speed. He ran a 10.78 in the 100-meter dash and a 22.73 in the 200-meter dash.

The receiver caught 25 passes for 510 yards and seven touchdowns for Miami Palmetto last season. Howard is just another strong commitment in what is a stellar 2027 class. The class itself ranks ninth overall in the country according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Howard has a chance to be a strong offensive weapon for the Huskers. It will be interesting to see how he fits into the scheme moving forward.
