Nebraska baseball evens series with Michigan with 10-0 run-rule win

Nebraska baseball (17-6, 4-1) entered game two of its three-game conference series with Michigan (11-10, 1-4) on Saturday afternoon. The Huskers triumphed over the Wolverines in their second clash, evening the series with a 10-0 run-rule win in seven innings.

Nebraska rebounded offensively after only scoring one run yesterday, earning nine RBIs off 14 hits. The Huskers scored two runs in the first inning and kept up their momentum in the third and fourth, adding seven more runs. Nebraska earned its 10th run in the fifth before completing the shutout.

Dylan Carey commanded the batter's box, hitting 3-for-3 for four RBIs and a walk. He delivered a two-run RBI single in the first before striking a two-run RBI triple in the fourth. Miken Miller earned two RBIs after going 1-for-4 on the day. He hit an RBI triple and a sacrificial RBI.

Drew Grego, Jett Buck and Rhett Stokes all drove in an RBI. Grego hit 2-for-4 with a double, Buck finished 2-for-4 and Stokes batted 2-for-3 with an RBI. Case Sanderson also hit 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Mac Moyer and Jeter Worthley each tallied one hit.

Carson Jasa (4-1) won the day in his start, throwing eight strikeouts across 6.0 innings. He allowed six hits and a walk. Chase Olson closed out the game in the seventh, recording a strikeout and surrendering two hits.

Nebraska concludes the weekend series with Michigan on Sunday morning. The first pitch is set for 10 a.m. CT on B1G+.
